our afternoon adventure

its a funny thing having to share. share our time and our attention, our favorite snacks, room on the couch.....sometimes it feels like just about everything in a family. i've been thinking alot recently about how much my girls share. babydolls, a bedroom, their favorite books, attention from mommy and daddy, taking turns, etc.  and i think its super important.....teaching sharing to kins so much earlier because she has a sibling and helping samantha to be a good role model as the big sister. sharing is family. and i know one day they will share secrets and friends and clothes.... and for right now i love the little girl sharing i see already and i remind myself how they are still learning to share...and just how important that is for everyone!

in an attempt to spend some quality time with just my big girl....one-on-one, with no distractions, samantha and i headed out on a mommy/daughter adventure. to paint pottery for the first time which led to checking out the big boat dock right next store and ice cream to top it off. the time together i savored...each minute, each funny story she told me. i loved it and i think so did she.......

she chose a sailboat dish to paint, with no help deciding....and when she finished she even got to go behind the scenes, where the lady showed her the big ovens and how they dry and finish the pottery. i loved how tight she held my hand every time we got up to pick out a new color or change paint brushes. so sweet being with my sammy mac.
