goodbye summer days
the last days of summer are here. officially. i'm sort of ready but at the same time wondering where the long summer went. both excited about samantha starting school but also seriously sentimental about her going every morning and saying goodbye to quiet mornings playing at home with my toddler.
in the meantime of all my thinking...hehehe....these past few days we are squeezing in every last summery thing. lots of pool time, morning bike rides before the heat, spending all morning in our jammies playing baby dolls, water table time on the new deck, lots of fun with friends and did i already say, playing at home. (there's really nothing better)
our family day trip to Sanibel was a lot of fun! all day on the beach and lunch at our favorite, Doc Fords. felt nice to feel far away and gone for the whole day, just the four and a half of us.....

our sand castle town we all worked hard on

sweet treats after lunch

cracked me up kinsley carrying around and eating the pirate's booty...the bag was almost as big as her

more ice cream....sure!
Last week of summer pictures.....

pool time with cousins

a trip to the park where daddy teaches tennis...after we played he met us for a picnic lunch

happy birthday Grandpa Tom. the girls baked cookies...his favorite...for his special day.

dress up on a rainy afternoon....so much rain these last few days!

watching the storm....my little garden fairies

pretty painters

visiting Pop Pop at the zoo....we saw leopards, turtles, alligators (kinsley's favorite), monkeys and giraffes. plus a picnic lunch and our favorite zoo traditions...feeding the fish and getting cold lemonades.

cooling off almost every day at our own pool at the clubhouse , just a short walk from our house

and it wouldn't be summer without pool playdates with friends.
goodbye summer days....here we come Pre K 4 for Samantha!
ps. wishing all of my teacher friends a wonderful start to the new school year. i remember how hard it was to leave samantha when i went back to teaching but i know all of you mommies can do it! plus there's nothing like organizing a brand new classroom with fresh school supplies and lots of excitement meeting new students. yay!

Samantha looks so grown up. I can't believe she started Pre-K 4. I love all the ideas for back to school. Everyone looks so happy!
