two years ago on this day i became a mom...little did i know what that meant or all that i would feel and experience. little did i know how much i could possibly love this little tiny baby. these past two years have been the most extraordinary. i wouldn't have changed a thing....i learned so much and tyler and i grew together as new parents. i feel a lump in my throat at just the mention of how fast my little samantha is growing up and how i wish so badly the memories of her first two years won't fade away. she is growing up into a sweet and loving little girl right before our eyes. she is always playing babies and taking good care of her big baby family, pretending with her 'peoples' and reading books and exploring outside. she communicates so well with her own opinions and a pretty good 'recap' of what she did that day. she likes to wave to the neighbors and say hi neighbor and has to put on her own shoes saying sammy mac do. she adores her grandparents and how they love to play with her. she calls her pop pop on the phone just to say i love you with an extra emphasis on YOU. when she wants to its pure joy to hold her little hand and she gives such good cuddles and kisses. she loves learning at her my gym classes and would choose to eat oatmeal and cheese crackers for every meal. her big heart is always noticing whether her babydoll or someone passing by is happy or sad. we said goodbye to nursing soon after her first birthday and hello to walking and now running....she took her first couple of trips on an airplane, first trip to the ocean city shore, first bike ride, her cousin rylan was born, first hair cut (well her bangs were trimmed, hehe) and lots more.... i could go on and on....so much she has learned in her second year. its transforming and amazing.
so as i soak up all her birthday celebrations and sit here trying to describe it...i know there's no way to truly express my love for samantha macKintosh. i love you with all my heart baby girl and can't wait to see what this next year as a toddler will bring.

may 6, 2010 - this birthday we went to the beach with family and oh how happy we were that uncle blake was here to help us celebrate. that night...just the three of us went back to the beach with our usual takeout dinner and watched the sunset as we relished in our family time and birthday bliss. feeling so thankful for our family of three and the beautiful birthday beach night.
