samantha's birthday bash

well its official as i type this blog post that my little baby cakes is now a big two year old. the celebrations last week were truly wonderful....so full of love and smiles and special memories. last weekend we headed to the park for her 2nd birthday party in all out elmo style. i had my to-do list(oh okay, i had my 5 to do lists) in hand and supplies loaded in the car and we were off. for me....well....it was magic....taking it in....seeing all of her family and friends who love her and support us all there to celebrate. she bounced from person to person, sitting on laps and sharing hugs and having fun on the playground. we were all VERY surprised when we had a surprise visitor come...ELMO! of course the birthday girl wanted NOTHING to do with him and was concerned with everyone else who did go and visit with Elmo but she watched from afar. and if i could count how many times that afternoon and weekend that she said "elmo coming sammy mac party". she hasn't forgotten and wow did the other kids get a kick out of his visit. cupcakes and popsicles were served.....and happiness was surrounding us. i didn't want it to end. i couldn't believe all the preparations and anticipation was already ending. but we said our goodbyes and thank yous and headed home. of course it wasn't ending.....it was only the beginning of the week long birthday celebrations. thank you to everyone who helped share in sammy's special birthday. thank you for loving her and for being so special to us. now here's to a lot more pictures of the birthday girl's busy week......
