what a week...whew!

the birthday celebrations....i promise they are coming to an end soon...hehehe....well they continued. and they went on and on. because not only is it samantha's birthday this week but its also my brother's, my dad's, my uncle and aunt's. whew. thats a lot. so on friday, my bro's big birthday, we went miniature golfing at a new place in estero. samantha's first time and she wasn't half bad. well until she decided to collect all the golf balls of the group behind us saying 'sammy mac golf balls'. oops. thankfully uncle blake thought to grab a few extra golf balls for her to play with and carry around. then after way too much afternoon sunshine we retreated to my parents to relax. this of course is one of my most favorite memories from my brother's week long visit....the four of us (and samantha) just hanging out at home. how it used to be....uncomplicated and familiar and man did i love it. uncle blake gave samantha a bath and then they snuggled on the couch, chest to chest. if only i could freeze time. blake....so glad you came home and we got to be together. it was the best! soooooo that night our whole family....everyone....came for a big bbq dinner, horseshoes and some serious hanging out on my parent's porch. happy birthday everyone!!

pss. notice the elmo cake i made (between beer bottles, hehe)....wasn't sure how it would turn out while decorating it as the guests arrived and the kitchen buzzed all around me. ahh!
