spring is in the air

there's nothing that makes me happier than to see my baby girl smiling and happy. on the weekends its all about the three of us and squeezing all the happy i can out of our time together. here is my list of HER favorite happy things right now as an almost-two-year old (gulp)....1. rocking her babydolls, baby Debbie, baby Kim, baby Amy and purple baby. i found her yesterday with her cd music player on and the rockabye baby song playing as she stood for a long time humming and swaying the baby back and forth. it melted my heart. 2. hugging her Elmo while she watches Elmo and wears Elmo slippers. the plans for her big 2nd birthday party are in full swing with red and pink and all things Elmo being planned away. only 6 weeks away now. woah! 3. her fishy towel for after her baths, drawing on her easel while she narrates and says eyes, nose, mouf, ears, arms and on. cracks me up to watch her creativity unfolding. 4. eating oatmeal, berries, grapes, cereal, butter toast and green beans. almost the exact order she would answer if you asked her what she wanted to eat. 5. her happy big-girl sentences...mommy sit down, play. daddy new car all gone, purple baby night night, ammy mac's _____, and my favorite when she says OH YAH. 6. playing outside and oh how i am looking forward to this new springtime weather and our soon to be redone yard. next weekend the first day of spring we will celebrate outside and yes its only monday but i am counting down already. wishing you a new fresh week...i am surely going to make it as happy as i can for my samantha mackintosh. (and happier and better than last week...no promises but i'm going to try harder to not let negative nancy get the best of me, ha...)

saturday's st. patrick's day parade was absolutely beautiful. the weather couldn't have been better and sammy was a cheerful scottish-pretending-to-be-irish-with-her-reddish-hair-girl

she wasn't so sure about it all when the sirens first went off and had to have her pop pop hold her but she clapped and waved and her favorite part was the the horsees and the school bus. she loves seeing a school bus. my favorite part...her laying her head on my shoulder mid-parade and falling asleep for the rest of the afternoon. oh how i can't get enough of her.

this is the last picture of her smiling....would have had a picture of us all packed up with the wagon and cole and our giant tray of macaroni but with no luck it didnt go so smooth...before even leaving our driveway samantha fell and skinned her knees pretty bad. she only wanted to be held at the block party until we convinved her to play sidewalk chalk with the other little kids until one of the neighbor boys chucked a chalk at her head and that was it. oh well.

I love Sammy in green with the pig tails. She is growing up. What a fun age this is.

I love the green pig tail bows! Too bad she was sleeping at the parade or she could've had a parade-wavin' partner with Lil'. She's so cute!
