spring is just around the corner....

had our first not-so-cold weather this past weekend....
enjoyed being outside every minute we could....
couldn't believe how much of a little girl my sammy is now....
had fun with friends and family and felt so thankful for that....


starting off saturday with a last minute..."hey we're headed to the park" playdate...three of the five girlfriends who have been friends since birth. elizabeth, sydney and samantha had fun on the slide and taking wagon rides together.

had to wear her new pink hightop converse....

then headed to our friend's house to help out as she was finishing her spring photo shoots...sammy had fun playing with baylee and lainey in her room as we put things away and cleaned up. of course they couldn't get enough of kelle's photo prop and new pet...the sweetest and most gentle bunny ever. serioulsy couldnt get over how patient this bunny was. thanks kelle for snapping a few pics of samantha and snowball.







spent sunday out on the boat with the rest of the manrings....even though we were bundled up it was beautiful and just what we needed...a day away from the chores and away from the busy lists and instead nothing but sunshine and a day to relax.

sammy in her new lifejacket...she says "ife jaket...safe" and pats herself. she felt so big putting it on. but then when we started going fast she got scared and cried for her daddy to sit next to us and protect her from the cold wind. she snuggled in between us, head burrowed down, the whole way out. then when it was over she said "no more loud" over and over again. she was in heaven playing with the sand when we got to the beach and loved watching the dolphins too.

samantha says her name all of the time now...well her version of it that is a very clear "AMMY MAC" which she said to rylan whenever he wanted to take her bucket or shovel away. haha
headed back to shore late afternoon and with a few songs whispered in her ear and the hum of the boat, samantha gladly fell asleep...snorring away on my lap. what a sweet ending!
