a lot going on these busy days of may
the end of May and the countdown to the end of the school year is finally here...what a busy month May always is. we worked on filling up a kindness jar after watching the new Cinderella movie and needing ALOT of reminders these days to be kind to each other. the girls have started picking on each other and sammy's choices require a lot of reminders. boo. its a hectic time of year and i'm trying to not get caught up in the negative behaviors we've had with these three monkeys recently...
sammy mac in her new birthday outfit from Mimi that matches Sally's!

sammy's first grade art class featured her painting in the public library! way to go!

silly random dinner out at CPK, the five of us.

counting down to the end of school...summer is so close!

just my girl...our last thursday lunch date at her school cafeteria. what a fun year it's been coming to volunteer in her classroom and meet her for lunch each Thursday. cant believe she's almost a second grader.

its safe to say we finally have a completely healthy BOY again! yay! after the last 2 1/2 months of on and off sickness...we are done with germs.

the way he insists on sleeping with his sister's Frozen pillow and how he says "tuck my in" every single night. i changed his sheets when washing the sheep sheets and had no idea he would mind. he noticed right away and said "where my sheepies!"

may 2015 - his very first haircut. almost 2 1/2 years old. the back was getting WAY too long and out of control. he was cautious but patient. bye bye baby hair. =(

after his haircut he was all smiles and being silly again...so handsome big boy!

playing his favorite game that night with his new haircut. he LOVES zingo and concentrates so hard.

the next morning we had a mommy and thomas date to barnes and noble...his new haircut looks good right? hehehe

so proud of my handsome hubby as the BEST MAN for his best friend since kindergarten, Kevin's wedding. he and kelly had a beautiful wedding and tyler did an amazing job giving the best best man speech there ever was. it was long and funny and witty and sentimental. looking good ty...i love you!

the beautiful bride and groom...what a fun night!

too bad for me that i ended up enjoying the champagne a litttttttle too much that by the time we got home i was in sore shape. seriously the next day i was felt poisoned and was sick on the hour, every hour, for the whole day. such a terrible experience. thankful for ty for taking care of EVERYTHING that next day. whew!

the groomsmen reenacted this same picture that was taken at our wedding and on their high school prom night....talk about flashbacks

happy memorial day...no school...fun in the sun...an adventure to the Botantical Gardens to see the new dinosaur exhibit. too bad kins and t cried and got super scared. they were VERY VERY real life! we enjoyed walking the grounds and the kids playing on the tree house and boardwalk area. at the end they couldn't wait to do the splash pad area. except kins got a grumpy feeling and couldn't shake it off and decide to go in. so she stood and watched. bummer. oh and add in ALOT of mosquito bites that day. ugh.

end of May 2015 - thomas's last night sleeping in his baby crib. talk about emotional! =( he had climbed out of his crib twice before and it felt like the right time to transition to his big boy bed. we had all summer ahead of us without any trips and plenty of time to get used to it. i kind of felt like it was ripping off a bandaide...do it quick and try not to think about how bad it hurts. i cried when ty took the crib down and made him find room in the garage to keep it...just in case. it kept all three of my babies safe and sound night after night. along with the sheep sheets and the rainforest lights. i remember getting them as gifts at my first baby shower for samantha. ugh...should i keep going? okay...back on track..no more tears...thomas is a big boy and did great his first night in his new bed. no looking back now. love you big T...always my baby boy.
rocking thomas before his last night sleeping in his baby crib

and the next night...his first time sleeping in his big boy bed. thank you to Mrs. Foster for lovingly handing us down this beautiful twin bed. we are so thankful! and T did great...a few nights later however he learned the art of wandering around after he was already tucked in. mostly to find him curled up sleeping on his sister's floor or in their chairs or worse....on the cold hallway floor between their rooms. poor boy just wanted to be near someone. in the early mornings when he wakes up early he comes and sneaks in our bed with us. which i love. and which is way better than him jumping on his sisters an hour before they should wake up. eeeeek!
