whew…...
today has been an overwhelming day. nothing out of the ordinary. nothing bad. just after what seems like a long few days...a long week...a long month etc…..i hit a wall. tyler has been swamped with work, add in his extra time spent planning the tennis tournament and all of the new house renovations going on, we've been running on fumes for awhile. (mommy especially)
backing up a little….i always think to myself no matter how hard or how exhausting…there is nothing i love or want to do more than be a stay-at-home mommy. it is what i always wanted. it is the best job in the world to me. but its safe to say i need some help. three is a lot sometimes….mostly when i am holding a teething baby for the majority of the day and waking up again in the middle of the night….then i add in kindergarten homework and projects and ballet classes and errands and (trying) to cook meals and pack lunches and keep things neat at home. the daily grind. no more or less than usual. just a lot right now. i guess you could say things are a little unbalanced. but nothing i can't handle. i'm so very thankful to be married to a man who listens and cares. he is understanding and supportive. even though we have no real solution right now to make things any lighter or easier….the positive ideas are, his tennis commitments are wrapping up for the season and he will try his best to come home before dinner to be hands on and not distracted with work. my goal is to get out once a week and play tennis again. something just for me. i've missed that part big time. i've put myself last and it takes a toll. exercise and more sleep will help too. hehehehe.
of course just yesterday i was at the grocery store with thomas (the picture a few down here) and i looked at his happy face staring at me and i was overcome with feelings of gratitude for this life i get to live. for the three beautiful babies i get to spend my days taking care of and being with. i am so very lucky and so very thankful. they are healthy and happy and they want to be with ME every second. there is nothing sweeter. sooooooo with all this rambling…i'm off to try and get some rest. to start tomorrow a new, fresh day. with patience. with gratitude for the little things. with a deep breath. whew!
i would do anything for these three. i worry so much to keep them safe and healthy. they are my world. xo
