outside playtime

here are a few of my favorite things.....outside style....

1. last minute park trips....packed sandwiches, a blanket, sunglasses and bubbles and we're off for the rest of the morning.

2. strawberry and tomato picking

our first trip to Farmer Joe's in bonita. the girls LOVED seeing how the strawberries grew and deciding which ones were perfect for picking. i think we ate more than we picked hehe

3. mommy and me time at the museum

i see this picture and i cant help but think everything is ALL right. her happy, sunny face melts me. this moment i will always treasure. how we went after school for an unexpected mommy and me date. i said yes to everything...what to do first, how long to stay, which snack to pick. we ran holding hands and playing and it was like we were the only ones there. between being a big sister, a hard working preschooler and sharing her mommy with newborn thomas and little kins....she enjoyed the afternoon to be on her own. 

i sat back and watched her play at the water table for a loooong time. she built waterways and got lost in her own creations. i remember the sweet breeze blowing and how time stood still.

thomas's first trip to the beach...we snuck away one morning for a few hours just the five of us. the girls sat and dug in the sand, we took in the fresh air and then left to go back to our "busy" schedule.
