a weekend away
we are back now from last weekend's surprise "stay cation". i surprised tyler with a pack-your-bag-lets-leave-in-the-morning-trip down the road to the beautiful Hyatt.
a couple of weeks ago tyler was in the thick of a never ending, grueling work schedule. long days away from us showing property and running work errands and logging office time plus when he was home he was bombarded with phone calls and basically always sucked into answering emails or researching. he was having a hard time finding a balance at all. it has been busy for him for months, which is something we are thankful for, but it was adding up and causing him to feel so so stressed. in the hole i decided he could use 24 hours away from his cell phone, away from house chores and errands, and instead a weekend to focus on his babies and some fun in the sun. it was perfect. we never left our hotel. we sat poolside both days and ate by the pool and ordered takeout and watched movies that night. it was a big moment to take a deep breath and finally kick back as a family of five. whew!

that face..oh man!

floating princesses

ready to play

let me tell you how challenging it is to keep a baby from getting sun when you can't use sun screen yet and the summer Florida sun is here already

samantha is a REAL fish...she swam the entire day with her goggles.

where we camped out that day....well before the attack squirrels broke into our snack bags and wouldn't leave, yikes

floating away our troubles on the lazy river

sleeping beauty will take a nap anywhere

i don't think this one cried all weekend...he got the memo...FUN ONLY hehe

first time in the pool

pizza and icecream on our hotel lanai, silly faces turned very sleepy faces that night after all that swimming

we are very proud of you Tyler for working so hard and providing for our family. you are always such a hard worker. we love you!
