pregnancy. the end of.
this is my last month of pregnancy.
i am 38 weeks pregnant and one week from Sunday is our due date. (two weeks for the other due date, hehe, but who's counting right?)
this is my last month of carrying our precious baby inside my growing belly...always together and always connected. no matter what i was doing these past nine months i was thinking about our tiny baby and what a truly beautiful and amazing job I have. Feeling the baby kick and move and hiccup....the most reassuring and wonderful part for sure. of course at the beginning there was the extreme sickness and exhaustion but after those 12 weeks its been a smooth, healthy pregnancy. something i am so very thankful for. i got emotionally overwhelmed in september and october, with all that was going on, but what a relief that i turned things around and talked things out until i felt better. (yoga helped too) we've had healthy prenatal checkups and enjoyed bringing the girls to the ultrasounds to hear the baby's heartbeat. Kinsley asks for "baby boom boom" and plays pretend doctor on my belly. i've no doubt been taken care of by my loving husband and family and friends. tyler is always thinking of me... little things like a foot rub or a surprise milkshake....bringing up a hot tea before bed and most importantly, reassuring and supporting me.
i sit and type in a quiet house tonight...tyler playing tennis and the girls all snuggled in their beds. the sound of the washer and dishwasher all running and the christmas tree lights twinkling. the baby hiccuping in my belly. we are making new traditions in this new house and slowly growing into our new place. it will be a new experience, for sure, bringing home baby #3 here.
i am both excited and a little sad to be near the end of my pregnancy. i remember feeling this way at the end of the girls' pregnancies. its the end of such a beautiful time, that is so precious and unbelievable. (of course who am i kidding...i get sad when most anything ends...the school year, christmas, a vacation, visiting a friend, ha) i know i will miss feeling the baby kick, how kinsley and sammy snuggle up next to me and put their hands on my belly waiting to feel the baby. kinsley sits on my lap while we read stories throughout the day and with such little space for her to sit she almost always feels the baby kicking and has to stop and tell me. and if she feels nothing she says, "baby night night" samantha is anxious to find out if its a boy or a girl. both were convinced it is a "lillil" baby girl until recently samantha says "well a brother would be fun and we don't have any boys besides colebaby and nemo".
as we await the big day...(could be today?) i am glad to be relaxed and savoring these last moments of my pregnancy...no more rushing or worrying over my to-do list. taking naps again, playing more with the girls, sitting longer. last night i talked on the phone with Rachel about our week-apart-due date and compared doctors checkups and plans for the delivery day.....and the other morning i sat all morning on Kelle's couch talking about our pregnancies and newborn things.....like what will we pack for the hospital. new jammies or old for us? homecoming outfit for the baby? how will our girls be as big sisters. so much anticipation and i love that i can share that with friends going through the same thing.
soooo...enough of my disconnected rambling.
we're ready for you baby manring...and we can't wait to hold you and kiss you and love you even more than we already do. piper elizabeth or thomas wilson....come out come out whenever you're ready!

i love you, thank you for our beautiful, full life and for being a wonderful Daddy to our children.

trying not to get too emotional about how big kinsley will seem after new baby arrives. she is still my little sweet pea and it doesn't seem like two years ago she was a newborn.

big baby belly at disney....measuring ahead only makes everyone come up and ask, are you due today?

one last getaway, just the four (and a half) of us to sanibel for the day. we have done this each pregnancy....sit on the quiet, beautiful beach all day and enjoy feeling like we are far away.
