happy 2nd birthday kinsley girl

as i sit here tonight..i am relaxed with a chocolate milkshake that my handsome hubby brought home for me...my big nine month pregnant belly full of baby-to-be movement, which always makes me happy. i sit here tired but aware that tomorrow when I awake my little Kinsley Jane will be TWO.
earlier we read extra bedtime stories and played one more puzzle. i sat longer in their bedroom at bedtime and talked about what it was like the morning she was born. how chilly it was and how many friends came to meet her. how big sister brought her a geez and we looked at the picture of when she held her sister for the first time. how daddy and i cried with happiness the first moment we held her.

it has been two very full years...days and weeks full of learning and growing and getting to know our little girl. check out her birth story...i just read it with a big lump in my throat...http://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=9210684958716909433#editor/target=post;postID=7174271113390473487

i love her personality...her stubborness and eagerness to try new things. she wants to be just like her big sister and imitates her a lot. she has her own made up words but puts together lots of clear sentences now too. dagee for orange juice and alu for alligator. hmmm...that go? for when she's looking for something. she folds her arms and stomps around when things dont go her way and she is a big time snuggler....sucking her thumb and cuddling with her geez she loves to be held. she is confident at her my gym class and when she passed her swim lesson tests. she adores her daddy and wants to call her pop pop on the phone at the zooooo every day. she likes to take pictures on my iphone and sing songs in the car. her love of babydolls is just like her sisters...and i love that. if i could just kiss her little forehead a million times i would.

i'm sure there's more...little things that pop in my head or that tyler and i talk about at the end of a long day. but mostly just how thankful we are for her health and happy spirit. how much she adds to our family. her beautiful, caring personality that is already forming as she  turns two.

its a funny feeling tonight...lingering in this in between moment and longing for time to not pass by so quickly yet eager for the future. this time two years ago we were given the beautiful gift of Kinsley Jane and this time tonight i am ironically packing my hospital bag for baby #3 with those same little white outfits that kinsley wore and the same soft pastel blankets.
how truly grateful tyler and i are for all thats behind us and all thats ahead.....

happy second birthday sweet pea. we love you each and every moment.
