week two and we're all caught up?
one last post to catch up and then i will be able to get back to blogging the little things that happen each week.
week 2 in our new home we finally made time for playdates and also practiced hard to get into a routine. bedtime was going strong with kinsley loving sleeping in her big girl bed but still it was taking them a long time to fall asleep, even though they stayed in their bed. (bedtime might be one of those parenting times i go overboard and obsess over...okay i said might but Ty would argue how laid back that sounds hehe) plus the past month with all the changes and distractions we've had a lot of four-year-old arguing and difficulty listening the first time. unexpected but understood and it fueled this mommy's attempts at solidifying our routines and our schedule. the bedtime chart changed everything and she does it all by herself without any reminders. yay! her and her sister come through each morning to our bedroom when their clock turns yellow at 7:00 and sammy gets herself ready before her morning show, while daddy and kins make breakfast. and then we are off and running...ready for fun!
soooo back to week two. we had lots of friends come and see the new house and play, which was really special. we met up with friends at the museum and the library too.

afternoon tea parties just me and my big girl while kins finishes her nap.

painting Olympic rings to get ready for opening ceremonies

playing school...kinsley's favorite and i love seeing her play pretend for the first time.

heading out to visit Uncle Josh's photography gallery...i just stare at this picture and wonder where my little christmas baby went.

positive ideas to help sammy mac feel more comfortable and reassured

reading like big girls before bedtime

little sleeping angel

fancy flip flops, why not

did i mention how much interest this one has in the potty. she would sit and sit on the regular toilet at my parents and so i got out our training potty. its her idea to go sit on it all the time even though only once did pee pees come out. hehehe. she sure does want to grow up and be a big girl like her big sister! i better find some time to potty train. yikes!

a very fun afternoon celebrating her sweet friend Adriana's birthday

a morning museum trip with our new friend, lovely Peyton

olympic opening ceremony popcorn party

loving her nanny. oh to hear her little conversations with Nan while they color...i just love them!
even Nemo has a new bed...his first cat bed. his favorite place.

feeling so thankful for getting through the first few weeks of adjusting to a new house. going to work on my patience as i help the girls get settled and find time to rest my pregnant body. its just that working to make it feel like our home is hard work!! but i couldn't have a better husband who i love doing projects with and seeing samantha and kins happy makes us so very happy. can't wait for all the new memories to come here.
oh and a picture tour coming up soon, promise. L

Oh I love all the fun things you and girls are doing. And the posters are the best, that's the teacher in you:)
May I ask...where did you get the bedding?
