sunny sanibel

oh sweet sanibel...how we've always loved you. from the first time we went just for a day trip to all the getaways as a new couple. the long beach days that are so quiet and different there....nothing like escaping to a quick vacation to sunny sanibel. we decided what better way to kickoff summer and celebrate....so the three of us headed there for an adventure. samantha had just barely recovered from her week-long sickness and i was sleep deprived from a long last week of work....but none of that mattered as we left our worries behind. the marriot resort was beautiful and the pools were just what we needed. we ate at one of our favorite sanibel resturaunts the first night too. one of the days we decided to hit the beach....we packed for an army and had to trek all of our gear down the long path to the beach. hmm...only to have one tired little girl. so she slept in our new beach tent while we relaxed. it was just a lot of work since we didn't stay after she woke up. (lunch time, meter ran out, scalding hot sand...you get the picture) oh well...back to our hotel pool. ohhh how we loved it there. sammy was a fish. thanks to tyler for wisking us away and making the weekend a special trip for the three of us. you always make everything so great. happy sanibel and happy summer everyone!
