married to a thirty-year-old.....

its been a whirlwind of a week here at the manring household. we happily celebrated tyler's birthday all weekend long....as birthday should be celebrated ...multiple days in a row, right? saturday we gathered with both sides of the families at the sports page to watch the Bengals play on tv and eat lots of junk food and beer. it was festive and loud and the birthday boy was loving every minute. i made a peanut butter pie for dessert and we enjoyed an afternoon being together as a family and toasting tyler's big 3-0! i surprised him with a reservation to go and drive a nascar on the east coast. should be an awesome trip...just have to figure out when to go. sunday continued the birthdy parties as we celebrated at my aunt nancy's house with dinner for both tyler and my cousin lauren, who share their birthday. finally on his actual birthday on monday the two of us ran off to eat five guys and watch avatar. awesome movie btw. all weekend i kept thinking of that country song..in my next thirty years and i thought of all that we have to look forwad to and was sentimental at how fast time flies by.i can remember back when we were both only in high school....jeez.....so many wonderful memories. i couldn't imagine a more loving and supportive husband. he makes me laugh and smile, is always thinking of sammy and i first, surprises me with his creativity and thoughtfulness and well, really, just makes me feel so proud to be his wife. i love the life we're building together and the family we're creating. the way he makes little everyday things a little more special and the extra time he takes to listen. (even when i keep talking and talking) i could go on and on and really just want to say thank you tyler and happy 30th! love you!
