connecticut cousins
there couldn't have been a more special weekend with my favorite cousins in chilly connecticut. samantha and i had an incredibly smooth and fun trip flying together and our four days together with the fishers was cozy and heart-warming and everything i wanted it to be. morgan and seth couldn't get enough of sammy girl and she was glued to their sides, playing "peoples", pretend kitchen, blocks and learning how to use the stairs too. we admired the snow from afar but we did venture out to morgan's first gymnastics class and with the whole family to the local aquarium. carly and i stayed up late talking the night away, watching chicflicks and sneaking away to shop in quaint downtown mystic while the kids napped. growing up as close as sisters, and now with children of our own, it couldn't have made me happier to see seth, morgan (my godson) and samantha playing as best friends and loving each other so much. saying goodbye is never easy, especially when we don't know when we'll see each other next. (trying not to get sad....) but the flight home went just as well...another flight with our own row of seats and this time, baby girl so exhausted from her trip that she napped on the plane while i found a new US magazine just waiting for me in the airplane seat pocket. aaahhh. a big big thank you to carly and chris for taking such good care of us. if only we could have sleepovers and aquarium field trips and friday night pizza nights together more often. love you four we miss you terribly already! i will never forget samantha saying "aplane-boyzz-carleee" over and over again.

playing "peoples" together after a waffle breakfast the first morning in chilly CT

lots of kisses

morgan and seth taught her many things, showing her how to go down the stairs was one of the first lessons

friday night pizza night couldn't have been more special with homemade pizzas we made together. thanks chris for all the yummy meals!

our big outing with the kiddies...to the Groton Aquarium.

love this picture....three peas in a pod

lots of playtime
