big girl things....

last week....our first week home from vacation was full of 'homey' things and lots of catching up. samantha took longer than usual naps and even slept in a little each morning, trying her best to feel rested again after our fun trip. we enjoyed just being at home and not having to be anywhere ...a quick wagon ride or walk with cole to break up our day and back to soaking up all the joys of relaxing at home. we did a few big-girl things like getting her bangs cut by Mimi and completely reorganizing her closet to make room for her toys and blocks and art supplies. out with the burp cloths and baby blankets and in with the fingerpaints and puzzles. i cleaned and cleaned and did my best to keep up with the mountains of laundry from traveling. it feels good to be back!

samantha's first 'unofficial' haircut...her bangs were getting too long, she sat so still!

put the last picture up into her first year frame....it is such a special keepsake!
check out her new closet...kinda hard to photograph but oh well. linens and clothes on the right, backpacks and bows on the left....
handsome colebaby probably the HAPPIEST of all....so relaxed and glad to have us home!
