sad, sick, snotty and sleepy....our little sammy...what a day today was. its official, her first cold and fever. yesterday her little runny nose worsened and a nasty little cough came about through the night. so this morning we went to the doctors and left with good news that she did not have an ear infection and there was no need to worry or take action unless a fever came about. what a relief...umm...for about an hour. until she threw up her lunch (all over) and her little face showed how uncomfortable she felt. after instantly falling asleep for a couple of hours, she awoke with a high fever...101.3. for the first time in almost eleven months our little cheekers was falling apart. how quickly things changed and how quickly our protective parenting kicked into action. thankfully tyler was home in the afternoon to share in all the.... 'she needs a tissue, cold drink, thermometer check, and more snuggles please'......we spent the afternoon snuggled up on our bed, wishing she didn't feel so warm, reading stories and watching baby einstein and drinking lots of pear juice and water. with a warm vapor bath, tylenol and a new humidifier all set up, she was off to sleepy land in hopes to feel better in the am. all the worry.....all the forehead kisses.....all the cool washcloths.....hoping tomorrow she will feel better. if not its going to be her first day on antibiotics. here's all kinds of healthy, lovey, warm fuzzies to all the sick babies, including our samantha macKintosh.
