Thomas, almost 17 months, how can that be?

our big T is just a few days away from his 17th month…..almost a year and a half? (not possible) I still feel like he is my newborn and i am amazed everyday by his growing vocabulary and personality and all that he is learning. 
this past week we stopped nursing…hard for me to really think about…but a natural and happy completion of something that was so so special to me. nursing my babies will always be one of my greatest joys and favorite babyhood memories. i will miss it for sure…the bond and that part of motherhood. insert sad mommy…ugh...but moving on…..
we have a fast walking and curious little brother who is keeping us on our toes. he is really into books now, playing with his toys by himself or with us in his bedroom, pointing out trucks and school buses and cars, watching mickey mouse is his favorite, and still has a very adamant head shake for NO. he says please now which is the sweetest thing ever, and has added school bus and truck, moon, drink, book, meeee for mickey and berries to his list of words. (berries which sounds like rrrrrerrreeees hehehe) he calls kins TT and sammy YA YA and likes to say new words we have no idea about too. haha. he is still terribly loud in the high chair and urgent when he wants to be. but my Thomas sure is a happy boy and i loooooove him so so much.

he loves to dance to mickey mouse and asks to watch it everyday 


trying out the spoon for the first time and now thats all he wants to do. no fun for mommy and daddy cleaning up.

had no idea he would know about hide-and-seek but kinsley and i said something like we're coming to get you and he opened his closet and went and hid. it was amazing


one day he likes to eat something and the next day not so much….makes it tricky for meal planning and dinners are trouble. =(


shopping with mommy and loving watching the water spouts…i could stare at his face all day. 


he prefers to climb into his toy boxes...


oatmeal bath at lunchtime for his diaper rash


at 16 1/2 months he's still deciding on whether to take two naps or just one afternoon nap


and on Friday's he is loving my gym. not as brave as i would think he would be but i don't mind him needing me. wink wink
