uncertainty and happy pictures

its late and i should be sleeping. my creativity and motivation and positive attitude gone.... but i have a few very happy pictures that will brighten the mood of our week.

first the reason behind our week....

last Friday things took an unexpected turn for my father-in-law when he found out he had a large tumor in the back of his brain. after tests and more tests he was transferred to Shands Hospital in Gainesville this past Monday to meet with their superior neurological team. tyler and josh and eric have been there since tuesday to be by their dad's side during all of the doctors visits and tests and uncertainty. yesterday he underwent a surgery to relieve some of the pressure that the tumor is causing. it did not drain as much as they had hoped and much of the pressure is still there because of the size of the tumor. at the same time they took a biopsy, which will hopefully give the doctors more information on what kind of tumor and in turn what kind of treatment.

all so much uncertainty. all so much anxiety and worrying and praying. i couldn't be more thankful that tyler and his brothers are there with Tom. we've had text updates and ichats to see each other and hear how the patient is doing. we had already set up a blog to keep everyone updated about his health so i've put a few posts up with the latest information too.

its been the longest week. for tom and the boys mostly. for being far away and scared. for lita at home with her boys and me home with the girls, holding down the everyday routines. should i say it again...its been a long week.

hopefully we'll have some answers soon so we can help Tom back on his feet. we are all here for him.

soooo tonight...i miss my husband. i'm drained. i'm over trying to do everything at home by myself.  but the bigger picture is what matters and family is what matters. thanks for all of your concerned calls and texts.

samantha was chosen as Leader of the Day for her class...she loved the special vest and is just SO happy at school.

somehow this guy (who doesn't and isn't allowed to sleep on ANY furniture in our house) remembers when daddy isn't home i used to let him up on our bed. so after his wimpers from his dog bed i caved. how could i not. hehe poor guy doesnt sleep well or relax being the MAN of the house anyway,  might as well be comfy. 


speaking of protection....just like with my other two baby bellies...nemo just has to cuddle up and purr on my belly. this is looking down at him nudging and purring on my lap. he must know, right?


sending pics to daddy help make everyone feel more connected. sammy says she thinks of happy things whenever she gets sad about missing him. they are two very happy girls, rain or shine, thats for sure. xo
