D is for Disney

i think this might be the MOST pictures i've ever posted on my tiny little blog....but for a BIG reason....our first trip to Disney World! we had the most incredible time and the week was all about Samantha....it was magical and fun and festive and full of really special memories.

the morning we left we loaded the car and sammy was all set with her princess trip basket and a VERY big smile...
Photobucket
we went straight to epcot and met eric, lita, pam and the boys who were finishing up their last day of disney fun...
Photobucket

Photobucket
epcot's flower and garden festival had just started......

and for my most favorite memory of the whole trip....it was soon after we arrived at epcot and we stood in a pretty short line to meet the big M himself and minnie and friends. as we got close enough to see what was going to happen she just started glowing with happiness....she held my hand tightly but was jumping and smiling and just bursting with excitement. then after we went up together to meet mickey she felt brave enough to go by herself to meet the others. she would hold on to me tight and say over and over again...i go by myself mommy, i go and say hi and give a hug, i do it all by myself....oh if i could bottle up that joy.....

my dad took sammy to meet this giant bear named duffy....cant believe she wasnt scared! still not sure who duffy is but he won her over!
Photobucket
guess they hit it off......
Photobucket
riding through mexico.....the whole trip i couldnt get enough of her face....the wonder and amazement...

the whole trip it seemed at every corner there was something new she was amazed by...ohhh for the love of making memories...hehehe
Photobucket

Photobucket
waiting for the fireworks the first night at EPCOT was a blast....good music and dancing in the streets and samantha's new light up bubble maker.

Day 2....up early and out the door to Magic Kingdom!
Photobucket

Photobucket
i'll remember this day as the best of the best....seemed like everything we did just flowed right into the next and was easy going. love that we weren't rushing and we felt relaxed. one of tyler's favorite memories is when we first walked into magic kingdom down mainstreet and we stopped at this bakery for the best apple turnover...covered in sugar and overstuffed. it was fun sitting and planning out what we wanted to do. then we headed straight to the welcome disney show in front of the castle. sammy was glued to the princesses dancing and the mean witch and mickey and minnie dancing...her grammy held her the whole time so she could see

another VERY special moment....meeting the princesses....we talked about this ALOT before we ever got to disney...she was a little overwhelmed and shy and very very in awe of the beautiful princesses talking and visiting with JUST her. they were SO friendly and took their time. we held hands walking up until she warmed up enough to let go and get close. we read these stories every day, play pretend princesses, watch the movies and have the princess toothbrush and sneakers... so to meet them wow...it was a magical, magical moment for our little princess samantha!

the second night we made a reservation at ENGLAND in epcot at the pub right on the water. very authentic and festive...had a table right on the water and the best waitress. sammy got a special tinkerbell drink and we ate traditional English food while watching the fireworks first hand.

Day 3....animal kingdom and a relaxing pool afternoon
Photobucket
the only picture at animal kingdom....a little bit of a let down day full of pitfalls....no benches for nursing, little girls tired of sitting in the stroller, sammy too little to see, running into people with strollers, WAY too many people going the wrong way....sooooooo we cut the day short and headed for some fun at the pool
Photobucket
and a little R and R....
Photobucket
off to disney boardwalk for dinner......and another BIG perk of the trip...i got to see one of my best friends....love you beth!
Photobucket
ps. so funny when samantha saw this picture and she says....mommy...you have the SAME faces....hehehe

Day 4....more swimming and more magic kingdom

somehow another day of short lines and lots of fun seeing shows, riding all of the rides....we did it all!
Photobucket
sammy HAD to do this race car driving
Photobucket
riding the train around magic kingdom....
there are no pictures of all the random places i nursed baby kinsley.... here we are on a giant train and she was happy to nurse the whole ride around the park
Photobucket
another TOP of the list moments....the night time parade and fireworks at the magic kingdom...
Photobucket
daddy surprised her with the balloon that she wanted from the moment we got there earlier in the week, we had front row seats for the parade and sammy was wide-eyed starring at the firework and castle show!
Photobucket

Photobucket
look at her face....concentrating

Day 5....last day....checking out Universal Studios

looooved the beauty and the beast show...the last thing we did before heading home
Photobucket

Photobucket
and within five minutes of leaving the show and heading towards the parking lot both girls were sound asleep....lots of sleeping the whole way home too. whew!
Photobucket
lots of memories were made and to see it through samantha's almost-three-year-old eyes was sweet and magical and so extra exciting. love that our Kinsley cakes was up for the ride and that we had so much help being with Pam and my mom and dad. a very special thank you to Pam for the hospitality in her time-share and for helping to make it such a memorable week. love you mickey mouse....see you again soon!
