so what's new?
lots going on around here....mostly these past two weeks we are thankful for healthy bodies and just being home together. hoping for a more creatively written post next time...

the virus/flu/cold...yuck!
samantha surprised me with flowers last week when i was out for the count with a fever....
then samantha had her turn spending the weekend with a fever and sore throat and no appetite...
one day when she wasn't feeling well she gathered all her favorite toys and camped out on her bed for awhile playing....later on she fell asleep sitting up listening to blaring princess music

kinsley turns TWO MONTHS!
our sugar bean is growing and healthy and such a smiley baby. she is 8 weeks old now and weighs 12 lbs...the 75%. she shared her two month check up with her sick sister but was happy anyway. that afternoon she was uncomfortable and cranky because of the vaccines she got in her pudgy legs but a little tylenol and extra snuggles and she was back on track.
it is a miracle....this miracle blanket (check it out www.miracleblanket.com) she's been sleeping in this special wrap since she was 4 weeks old and it is amazing. she only wakes up once in the middle of the night and that is just so hard for me to believe. we can't say thank you enough to our friend kelly for sharing this with us!
oh how she loves the moby wrap.....
at two months kinsley jane has a lot to say and a lot to smile about...she now has a night time routine of a warm bath and lotions, mommy's milk and falling asleep around 8:30....she kicks and plays on her playmat now hoping to rattle one of the toys hanging over her head....she loves to be in the moby sling when we are out and is just so relaxed doing whatever the rest of us are doing.....her little face is changing as her cheeks are chunkier and the different expressions she makes. something about when she smiles and looks right into my eyes.....i just want to kiss and squeeze her and not let go. i caught a glimpse of myself walking by the mirror the other night with her on my shoulder.....i got all emotional and felt just so lucky to be her mommy. she lights up when she sees her sister and is entertained by her dancing and reading and funny faces. wow...two months has flown by....so here's to making the most of each day and all the little memories we are making.

Yay for a happy update! Kinsley's smiles are the best! I'm so glad I got to see them in person yesterday! And yipee for a special Mommy and big sister trip! :-)
Oh, how I love all of Kinsley's smiles. You have two sweet girls. I know Samantha loved the trip to get new books with her Mommy!
