funny sayings, grandparents day and a lot of love

we started off this past weekend with an extra afternoon together on friday. i had the day off from work for a doctor's appointment so i was able to bring samantha to school for the first time. it sure was exciting! the school was buzzing with parents and children and teachers preparing. when we arrived to her classroom she went right to playing with the farm animals with a couple of her classmates. i bent down and told her i would come back soon and she gave me the biggest hug and kiss and looked at the other two kids and said...'that my mommy' as she patted me. so cute! her teacher knew i would love to come back and be apart of things so before school was out i went back to read a story and see them in action during the school-wide music time. i loved being apart of things and seeing samantha as a little student. the rest of our weekend was fun and relaxing and we were happy to be together, the three of us. sammy's latest is to ask 'what you talkin about mommy or what you saying to daddy?' cracks me up when she says 'what the big idea here?' and all the songs she knows the words to..its amazing! on the flip side last week was her first ever trip to the "thinking" chair. after she sat in her chair waiting for the timer to go off she said "i sorry" and she even knew why....so she is trying her very hardest as a little two year old but just has to test the limits sometimes too. here are a few pics from our weekend together.....here's to a smooth, not too-tiring week (yeah right)!

happy GRANDPARENTS day today! a big wish to all of samantha's grandparents for being the best grandparents a little two year old could ever have. she is so loved and cared for and we would not be the parents we are today without your support and guidance.
so today was the day to honor them and she made special cards for each of them. tyler made a big bbq rib dinner to celebrate. we miss you grammy and nanny and we talked about you a lot today even though we couldn't be together!

Good for you for taking some time off on Friday to enjoy some special things! I took a peek at your registry...how fun! I love shopping for baby things! Did you figure out which double stroller you want yet? Decisions, decisions:)

I love that you went shopping as a family at the baby store. It's so much fun to think that baby Manring will be here soon!
