not so good......

i guess its safe to say the last four days have been...well...a struggle. thursday morning our little, normally-healthy cherub woke up with a sudden high fever. it progressed through that night into a 104 degree fever but with no other symptoms. i tucked her into bed around 6 that night only to end up having her sleep next to me in our bed shortly after her moans and tosses and turns were just too much. she was a little, sweaty heating pad and i was getting nervous! i think i wore myself out too just worrying. the next morning tyler brought her to the doctor where she had to get tests run to make sure she didn't have a kidney/urinary infection and after two hours they went home with no more information. no ear infections, no swollen glands....nothing. so we survived with lots of apple juice, popsicles and sesame street reruns. thankfully tyler was the comforting and most caring dad, just like always...so she was snuggled and given lots of fluids and taken care of by her concerned daddy. thanks to mimi for bringing over special water bottles to cheer her up too and for all of her magic hugs. the weekend didn't bring much more fun but the fever was not as high so that was a relief. we spent our weekend days resting inside and hoping she would bounce back. sooo.....no time for the camera until the weekend when she was a little more up and moving....here's wishing for her full recovery soon and for our little lovey to be back to her smiley, healthy self.

Oh no poor baby! Sammy's so lucky to have you and Ty to take such great care of her. I'm sure all the extra loving and sweet hugs and kisses are helping her to feel all better soon! Also, wanted to let you know that my bro-in-law is almost a full fledged paramedic and he said that as long as a fever doesn't stay high for very long there's little anyone can do. To switch with tylenol and motrin and maybe even a cool bath. I called him one night in the middle of the night when John's fever shot up and he calmed my fears! Hope Sammy feels all better soon!! xo

Oh no!! Poor baby! She looks so sweet even when she doesnt feel well. I love the one of her laying in her big girl bed reading. She looks like a teenager ready for her girlfriends to call on the phone!!

lots of wishes for a little girl feeling better soon (and a mommy and daddy with less worries!)...I was going to say the same thing Kelly said...even when she's sick, she is just so beautiful!

Don't mama hearts just sink when their babies are sick? It makes me so sad. And she looks so sad in those pics! Glad things are better. The big girl bed rocks!
