giving thanks

our cool, fall weekend was a little busy but was a lot of fun. friday evenings i have a very HARD time staying awake after a long week...and this past friday night was no different. but we had a blast after school playing at samantha's friend peyton's house. then we went straight to my parent's house for their porch party with appetizers and games. saturday started early with a birthday party for a special little boy turning two. happy birthday mathyas, we had fun taking a tractor ride around your yard and playing with you on your big day. add in a big bbq rib THANK YOU dinner for our dear friends and parents who helped me move classrooms and that adds up to a full weekend. we hung our thanksgiving flag out our front door...its the best reminder of all the things and people we are thankful for. our list of thankful things is topped off with the loving family and friends we have surrounding us. i'm going to keep this in mind as i tackle the everyday schedules and obstacles that come my way this week....
