anniversary bliss

yesterday, june 17th, we celebrated our third wedding anniversary with a little overnight getaway. the morning was spent as usual...tyler at work, samantha and i at home and then to her weekly library class, but all the while we were counting down and really excited about our night out. after unloading sammy mac and her gear at mimi and pop pop's we headed downtown to relax on the beach. our new umbrella, a cooler full of land shark (our favorite beach drink) and a cd player ready to play one of 6 new surprise CDs that tyler had made for our anniversary. it was pure relaxation and we felt VERY far away from our normal routine. ahhhhh.....hours later we dragged our sandy, sunkissed (who knew you could get so much sun even under an umbrella) bodies to the hotel and sat poolside. then off to dinner at chops, icecream at kilwin's and drinks at mcabbes all before retiring to our big comfy hotel room upstairs. tyler was mr. romantic and had lots of surprises and the most thoughtful card. three years ago on this day we said our vows and celebrated as new husband and wife with all of our family and friends. it feels like yesterday and watching our wedding video brings back all those beautiful emotions from that special day. marrying tyler was a dream come true and the life we are building together makes me feel like the luckiest girl in the world. what a way to celebrate our marriage and our love for each other. ps. had to sneak in a wedding photo too....pss. little samantha did wonderfully at her first sleepover. she was as happy as ever being with her mimi and pop pop!
