sunset party

a naples sunset....something i've enjoyed since i was little and somehow everytime you watch the sun setting its different and special. tyler and i need to try to make it to the beach more often to sit and relax and take in our naples sunset. lets see....i can remember many mother's day picnics, sunday nights in need of a pick me up, tyler's wedding proposal, photo sessions, and oh i remember the first time we brought samantha to see the sunset...she was so little and tyler carried her in the baby bjorn all snuggled up.

sooo...last thursday we were invited out on a friend's yaht for some wine and appetizers and of course to see the sunset. the four other women are the moms i went through prenatal yoga with and as soon as all the babies were born we began getting together. all five girl babies were born within 5 months of each other...with the first little one to celebrate her first birthday just a couple of weeks ago. these women are all such wonderful first time mothers and we have found support in each other since the very beginning...the beginning when we were all sleep deprived with our own concerns and questions about motherhood....now it seems that was so long ago. we are always talking about how special it will be when the babies are big girls and playing together and how we can say they were each others first friends. i feel lucky to have found these friends.

okkkkk so....boating was fabulous and the weather was pristine. we had dolphins playing in our wake, delicious snacks and drinks, a golden sunset and lots of laughs. the husbands hit it off and we have vowed to get out as couples more often together. here are a few pics...(thanks for sharing the photos since i didn't take any myself...oops.)
