our growing cheekers

yesterday turned into a day of more firsts....she awoke from her morning nap at the usual time with lots of talking and babbles. i go in to get her and i decided to quick organize some of her laundry as she was busily talking to the animals on her crib bumper. it quickly turned into a roaring laugh and I turn to see what was so hysterical and there she is STANDING in her crib, laughing at what she had done and anxious for me to see. she is getting better and better at getting all the way up past her knees and here she is so strong and tall. i can remember (what feels like just the other day) she sat up by herself for the first time in her crib....she didn't know what to do so she fell asleep sitting up half bent over leaning against the side of the crib. hehee..not to comfy. its a good thing i'm recording all of these little baby milestones...my memory isn't the best and my how it is all going by so fast. (isnt that what everyone told us?)

ok here are a few of our favorite things recently...our pop 5 list right now....5. eating fresh fruit in the baby net thing that she loves loves loves....4. how easily she lays down for a nap all by herself and puts herself to sleep happily.....3. how she climbs up our legs and pulls on our pants, like come on play with me, come get me.....2. recently how predictable her schedule is, lots of playing, crawling, nursing, eating, sleeping and oh how i never thought that would happen....1. our morning walk/run, okay its not a complete run yet but soon hopefully, how brisk and fresh the air is, the little old man with his old cassette headphone player that we pass every time, the other old man all dressed up with his walking stick and cool hat, the other parents walking with their strollers, the old couple who walks everywhere(yah you know you've seen them walking around immokalee and airport), waving to our neighbors as they leave for work, watching the parents drop their kids off at the bus stops, and mostly how i always pictured and hoped i would be a new mommy exercising with my baby in the stroller each morning, enjoying the nice weather in our friendly neighborhood....
standing up so tall and happy!
skip ahead through a nice day of baking homemade animal cookies with samantha's grammy and a fun afternoon walk with anna ruth and baylee and here we are at bathtime. another sign she is growing bigger...we retired the baby ducky bathtub. she was climbing out of that thing and needed more room for her bathtoys. last night was the first time taking a bath in the big bathtub and she is always laughing with her daddy.
