Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas family and friends. Last week was very busy and festive and full of Christmas kisses and pictures. We started out on Christmas Eve day to a wonderful bbq lunch at the Walmsley's house, where Samantha's great-Granny and her husband, Jerry came to visit. Then we had a crazy afternoon scurrying around the house getting it all set up for our brunch the following day, wrapping last minute gifts, making a breakfast souffle AND we actually made it to church on time that evening. We met my parents and Nanny and enjoyed the children's candlelight service at our church. Sammy really got a kick out of all the kids around us and was so content while we sang carols and listened to the story of christmas. Oh and it helped that her Pop Pop brought a surprise, new teething toy for her to look at right towards the last few minutes. From church we went to my parent's house for their annual open house...lots of food and drinks and people coming and going. Sammy stayed up late until almost 9 and then was tucked into her crib there at Mimi's house in her new christmas jammies.

Baby's first christmas....playing on Grammy's new playmat
Samantha and her great-granny, who came to visit from Tampa
Lita (baby Rylan in her tummy), Pam, Josh, Eric, Tyler, me and Sammy
This is the only picture I got of Samantha in her special christmas dress ( lets just say mom and I went to EVERY store in Naples before going back to this original one we found...ha!) Aunt Nancy and all the other aunts and family took turns holding her at my parent's christmas eve open house.
Late late late christmas eve night after the party we are putting together Samantha's gift for the morning....her very own radio flyer red wagon. maybe the directions were not supposed to be THAT complicated...ha!
